Montana Fly Company 7700 Closed Eye Offset Fly Shanks

Montana Fly Company 7700 Closed Eye Offest Fly Shanks are a high quality and versatile platform for tying both "Intruder Style" trailing hook flies and articulated beasts like the "Gamechanger".   Featuring a standard ring eye on one and and a return eye on the other, with a 90 degree offset between the attachment points, these shanks offer the tier maximum versatility and the ability to easily clamp the shank into a standard fly tying vice.

We especially love the return eye feature for tying dumbell eye patterns like MK's Swing Mint and Gingerbread Man buggers because the doubled over wire creates a flat platform for the eyes to sit on, virtually eliminating the tendency for the eyes to spin around the shank.
