Sunday Night Casting Clinics

Led by the crew at Big Sky Anglers, the Bob Jacklin Casting Pond- Sunday Casting Clinics are designed for anglers of all levels. Each clinic focuses on practical skills you can take straight to the river. Whether you're just getting started or looking to fine-tune your technique, our team along with local instructors will guide you through the fundamentals to help you build confidence on the water. Come cast with us and improve your skills in a relaxed, hands-on setting.
10 Year Anniversary Celebration

Join us as we celebrate 10 years in West Yellowstone with the community that made it all possible. We invite you to commemorate a decade of fly-fishing passion built around learning, fishing, and good times on the water. Join us for exclusive fly shop discounts, exciting giveaways, and lots of fishy fun all day long. Join us at the Bob Jacklin Casting Pond in the evening to cast rods and enjoy a live music performance by Zach Nytomt.
Good Vibes Tour
FRIDAY, JULY 10TH, 2026

Montana based wildlife artist, Garrison Doctor, will be visiting Big Sky Anglers on The Good Vibes Tour, creating original artwork on-site for the public to experience the real-time creative process of the project being raffled. This event will also include raffles supporting Rep Your Water, and the chance to win larger raffle prizes to be drawn at the completion of the summer tour.
Bug Fest

Local nonprofit organization, The Salmonfly Project, is dedicated to studying and raising awareness about aquatic insect population decline in western rivers. Through field research, monitoring programs, and public education, they work to better understand changes in insect hatches that are vital to healthy trout ecosystems. “Bug Fest” at $3 Bridge on the Madison River brings that mission to the public, offering hands-on learning about aquatic insects and how to match the hatch with fly patterns.
Pints for Public Lands & Waters
SATURDAY, AUGUST 26TH, 2026

“Pints for Public Lands & Waters,” hosted by Public Land & Water Access Association, will be held at The Yellowstone Brewing Company for a laid-back evening supporting the wild places we all love and recreate in- and need to protect. Connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts, grab a drink, and enter to win raffle prizes, with proceeds going directly toward protecting our public lands and waters. Every pint and every ticket helps keep our rivers, trails, and open spaces thriving.
Wretched Mess Fest

The Wretched Mess Festival is a community-driven event that celebrates creativity, local culture, and a little organized chaos in all the best ways. Featuring some of the top brands and personalities in fly fishing, local art exhibitors, interactive presentations, live music and hands-on experiences, The Wretched Mess brings people of all ages and together for a weekend of immersive fun. This festival is all about embracing the creative side and unique spirit of West Yellowstone, Montana.
Trout Spey Tailgate

Big Sky Anglers’s former “Spey Days” has evolved into the Trout Spey Tailgate, a laid-back gathering centered around trout spey casting and two-handed fly fishing. The event keeps things relaxed and welcoming, with casual casting clinics, gear demos, and plenty of time to hang out, learn, and fish at your own pace. This revamped structure emphasizes low-pressure fun, good company, and sharing the joy of spey fishing without any rush or formality.
