From Our Hands to Yours
These are the rods we know best. They have been with us on the water, fished by our guides, tested by our staff, and cared for every step of the way. Each rod in our demo fleet has been cleaned, inspected, and test-cast by our staff to ensure it performs exactly as it should.
Expect light, honest signs of use, a bit of cork coloration, a faint scuff on the blank, or a mark on the reel seat, the kind of character that comes from doing what these rods were made to do.
What to Expect
Each demo or used rod in our fleet comes from our guide program or in-shop demo pool. Before being listed here, every rod goes through a detailed inspection process:
- Cleaned from tip to butt and test-cast by our staff.
- Checked for performance - ferrule fit, guide alignment, and reel seat function.
- Verified to ensure no structural issues or defects.
We’re confident that every rod offered here will fish just as beautifully as it did the day it came out of the tube.
Warranty & Repairs
Please note that demo rods do not include the original manufacturer warranty, as most fly-rod warranties are non-transferable. However, repairs are still available through the manufacturer for a service fee, and we’re happy to help facilitate that process.
If you ever need to send one in, just reach out to our team and we’ll guide you through the steps.
Photos & Representation
The images shown on this page are manufacturer stock photos that accurately represent the model, finish, and components of each rod. They are not photos of the actual demo rods being sold.
Every rod in this collection comes from our guide and shop demo fleet and has been cleaned, inspected, and test-cast to ensure it performs exactly as intended. Because each rod has seen time on the water, it may show normal cosmetic signs of use—such as light scuffs on the blank, cork coloration, or small hardware marks—that differ slightly from the brand-new rods pictured.
If you’d like to see photos or detailed notes of the exact rod currently available, just give us a call or send an email. We’re happy to provide more info, photos, or an honest rundown before you buy.
FAQs
Most fly-rod warranties are non-transferable, meaning they apply only to the original owner. As such, our demo and used rods do not include the manufacturer’s original warranty. However, most brands — including Sage, Winston, Scott, Orvis, and others — will still service or repair rods for a reasonable fee. If you ever need help with a repair, just reach out to our shop and we’ll walk you through the process.
Yes. Repairs are available through the manufacturer, even without the original warranty. Each brand has its own process and fee structure, but we’re happy to help start the claim and help with the logistics for you.

All rods in this collection have been inspected, cleaned, and test-cast by our staff. They show normal cosmetic wear only, the kind of patina that comes from honest guide and shop use — and are in perfect fishing condition. We don’t list any rods that don’t meet our performance standards.
Demo and used rods are typically final sale, but we stand behind every one we list. If a rod arrives with a problem that wasn’t clearly described, we’ll make it right. As always, you can call the shop before purchasing and we’ll gladly give you an honest rundown of condition and performance.
