BSA Chest Candy Soft Hackle - Rusty Hare
The unweighted version of the original version... Big Sky Anglers shop staff and guides started wrapping these big, blingy soft hackles for fishing the fall run of browns and rainbows up the Madison River out of Hebgen Lake. These have proven themselves over the past couple of autumns as an extremely effective pattern fished on either single-handed or Spey rods. The numerous color variations allow the angler to adjust based on their own whim as well as the preference of the trout, and we’ve found that changing up colors after a fish grabs but doesn’t stick to the hook will often seal the deal on the next cast. While designed for swinging on the Madison, don’t overlook these as a great pattern for nymphing on tight line or under indicators on waters across the west.
