The Golden Trout is native to just a handful of watersheds in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Goldens are perhaps the most colorful of all the trout here in the US and Mimi's art truly captures the vibrant beauty of the species. They've been introduced to a few alpine areas in the Rockies where they can reproduce and thrive, including a few here in Montana. If you want to see one of these beauties in person, be prepared to lace up your hiking boots and trek at least a few miles into the high and wild backcountry.
