The BSA Bud’s Challenged Callibaetis is a custom fly that we inherited from the purchase of Bud Lilly’s Trout Shop and is a long time favorite here in West Yellowstone among guides and anglers. This is a versatile “crippled” version of an emergent callibaetis that works well on Hebgen Lake when gulper fishing and also on the rough pocket water of the Madison. This pattern in a 14 and 16 also works well as a flav emerger, we love it for its versatility.
