Mighty Mouse

The Mighty Mouse (sometimes spelled Mity Mouse) is a classic stillwater pattern popularized by Bill Schiess on Henry's Lake. In his classic book, Bill notes that he was introduced to the pattern by West Yellowstone local angler Lin Turman and Seldon Jones, who fished this fly regularly on Henry's Lake and Island Park Reservoir. We can only assume that the fly derives its name from the diminutive super hero rodent. Like it's namesake, this little guy is known for taking down opponents of fantastic size and strength. Strip it slow, but hold on tight to your rod.
