meet COLTON
Colton Schofield joins the Big Sky Anglers staff for the 2022 season with over nine years of guiding experience around eastern Idaho and Yellowstone Park under his belt. Colton brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the Greater Yellowstone area and is an outstanding guide who is well versed in everything from our mountain streams to technical spring creek fishing. He has a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism, and we are excited to have him come on board!
Colton grew up in Emmett, Idaho just outside of Boise. He started fly fishing when he was just about ten years old, pestering the local warmwater species like bass, sunfish, and carp with his increasingly improved presentations. The fly tying bug (no pun intended) bit him hard at age 12 within a couple of years he started tying commercially for a local fly shop in Boise. When Colton graduated high school he already knew he wanted to become a guide. He made the move to eastern Idaho and has called the hallowed waters of the Greater Yellowstone area his home waters ever since. In his free time you can find him behind the lens of a camera, and, when he gets the chance, hunting, or drawing.
