BSA Jojo's Rusty
This is the original pattern in Joe Moore’s series of mayfly imitations. Joe tied it for the first time in the early 2000s when he was looking for a highly visible and floatable rusty spinner imitation for the broken surfaces water on the Madison. Over the years, the concept has inspired many other mayfly imitations including Jojo’s Green Grake, Jojo’s Gray Drake Spinner, and Jojo’s PMD. This fly is great because it not only works as tied, but also allows for numerous on-water modifications. Trimming the bottom hackle, or parts of the wing can be a great way to quickly and easily modify your presentation wen confronted with particularly fussy fish.
