Salmon Flies

The Big Bugs are at the banks, hanging in the grass and drying their wings around Shelton’s Bridge on the Madison. The trout will eat a well floated fly down the bank but they are sneaky about it. It takes great timing and a little luck to hook half the fish that rise to your fly. They will eat it, but there pockets of bugs up and down the river and there fore not every bank has Salmon flies.
