Mountain Bluebird

The last few days have been filled with business, books and the IRS. Fishing guides are not found of this type of shit, but then again, it is my business and no one else is gonna do it.  I did manage to get out for a spin up to 7 Mile Bridge, it’s bicycle time in Yellowstone, just to get away from the monitor.  A Mountain Bluebird fluttered around the shed this afternoon and finally lit out on the water spigot, but for only a few moments.  From it’s brilliant blue color, I would call it a male.  Females are usually a bit lighter in shade.  Almost a slate blue, sometimes with greenish hints in the wing……the little guy most likely spent the winter in Mexico.  Sounds like a great place for a single guy sporting a baby blue shirt to hang out, once the snow flies.

I am sure the accountant will have some questions for me, he always does, but I am feeling the need to join some folks over on the Big Horn and head out of here for the week’s end.  Hmmm…………….
