It has been 10 days since my last report, but there has been no time at night to sit down and write one out. Everyday has been spent on the river guiding the Madison and then one day over on the Yellowstone. The Madison has been fishing quite well for several weeks and once the salmon flies move on we will have caddis, pmds, and flavs to depend on for a while. The big bugs are up to Reynolds Pass and moving quicky. There are lots of anglers in the wade section, and thankfully the float section is starting to thin out. Today the Madison Valley received a solid dose of rain. From Windy Point to Ruby it soaked us the entire time. The storms rolled through the valley one after another. The trout have been eating nymphs and dries throught most of the day. Tomorrow I am off and will be headed down there to check it out for myself.
