Indian Summer

Looking upstream toward Wolf Creek Bridge.

Our warm weather continues here in SW Montana.  The past couple of days have had clouds and some rain, which have made the fishing pretty damn good.  There is snow in the forecast for later today and tonight.  YNP continues to have more runners, but the folks who flock to this river in the Fall are furious….they want cold and shitty weather everyday….so do I……but ofcourse, I live here and can take advantage of the weather when it arrives.  The forecst for this coming week is more sunshine and high temps in the 50s and 60s.  Will this Indian Summer ever end????

Greg Falls continues to guide up on the Missouri while I plug away here on the Madison – both in Montana and the Park.  I will be joining him next week for a while and look forward to seeing Bill and the Boys from Maryland.   Pheasant season opened this past weekend and chasing these Ditch Parrots is good clean fun…..I have a new hunting spot to check this season – 5000 acres of wheat, woods, CRP fields and birds….

Streamers......What fun.
