The keepers of the dam are cutting back and trying to fill Hebgen. Over the past two days the rive has dropped 460+ cfs to 1620 cfs out of Hebgen Dam.Cabin Creek is still brownish- green, but Beaver Creek is flowing green. Quake is a mixture of both and the Slide is flowing bitch-creek green. At Kirby Ranch the flow is 2580 cfs. The Madison is flowing at a pretty good rate still and anlgers need to becareful wading and rowing their boats. There is big water on the river for novice anglers.

The flow out of Hebgen has been running 2080 for a week now and it there is new structure in the river to fish. I would like to see the flows stay at 1500-2000 cfs for the rest of the summer. Doubtful, but it could happen. Cabin Creek, Beaver Creekand The West Fork are still flowing off color. They should clear in a week or so……if it stops snowing in the high country.
