Now that the blizzard is making its way through the Dakotas and on into the Midwest, the temps have plummeted into the negatives around southwest Montana. There are 8 to 10 foot burms dividing the lanes all over town. There is more snow in the forecast for Thanksgiving and we are headed out to Cody for the weekend….maybe….if we don’t get sidelined on I90. More snow has fallen in the last three days than almost all of last winter. Crazy shit. I am hoping for some warmer weather next week as I have the itch to cast a fly – a dry fly – at rising fish on the Madison River. As you can imagine, there hasn’t been a soul around on the Madison. Midges are rolling off on most days and trout are eating them.
