As I pack for my trips on the Missouri, the snow is coming down sideways. It seems more like November than October. The woodstove is cranking out the heat, reminding me to sweep the chimney before the onslaught of Winter….one more thing to do before bird hunting in eastern MT in November…..atleast the wood pile is finished. 4 cords total.
I fished Barns Pool #1 yesterday with a peacock and partridge – #8. I broke off one nice trout after the hookset and had one other bump. Since I was the only one in the run, I grabbed the nymph rod. Lots of Whitefish where on the bite and one hookup with a lake run fish was all I managed.
The nasty weather is supposed to subside by the Sunday or Monday. Stay tuned.
