Black Sand Basin is one of my favorite places to hike through during the winter season. Hardly ever do we see another person, thus giving the feeling that this is truely our park. Iron Spring Creek splits this geyser basin and adds to the beauty. Bison are almost always roaming around and I have also seen wolves here as well. When the steam subsides, Sunset Lake is stunning. On most days, Cliff Geyser erupts to heights of thirty feet allowing my tour to watch a geyser from a short distance away. This is often a day maker stop.
