  • Originator:  Joe Moore, BSA Co-owner
  • Hook: TMC 100 or equivalent, #12, 14, or 16
  • Thread:
  • Tail: MFC Z-yarn, Black
  • Body Dubbing: Ice Dub, Cinnamon and Black
  • Wing: Widows Web, Light Tan
  • Hackle: Brown
  • Legs: MFC Barred Sexi Floss, Golden Yellow

Notes:  This is a hybrid pattern, bringing together the famed Stimulator and Chubby Chernobyl by adding a Widows Web wing and tail.  Again, I like the Widows Web as it shows up well on the rough and tumble riffles of the Madison River.  I also like to vary the dubbing colors from time to just to change things up when I need to.  This fly can imitate a caddis, small stone fly, spruce moth, or even an ant!  I recently fished in down in the Chubut Provence of Argentina and it worked really well down there too. –  Joe
