A puppy, not a child. Sorry folks, not yet. Not till I buy a few more things….a new hunting dog, a house, a plow for the Cruiser, maybe a trailer of some kind for hunting trips, how about a raft, shotgun shells, a 12 ga. auto loader, a dozen roses for Mrs. Moore- but the house will go along way in that realm, 2 weeks in the Bahamas, a new Left knee, a 9ft 5wt Sweetgrass Rod – graphite that is….you get the idea. Some things must wait and some must happen now.
One of the above females, a Drahthaar, is our new ball of fire. At 3 weeks old, there is only one thing for certain – this is a hunting dog. A new one. Another one. To add to the circus in Eastern Montana. Huck, my 8 yr old GWP, has miles to go before he’s spent, but something is telling me to bring another into the fold. Yes there is a difference between the two breeds, but I am not going to bore you to death with all that jargon. It is quite simple – there is a German standard and a US Standard. These little gems will be ready to pick up in early January. Ours is to be called Stella. A fine dog she will be.
