One of my favorite hill sides.

The Missouri is getting bigger by the day.  21,000 cfs this morning.  The word on the street is 23K by Tuesday.  The good news is that is river is still nymphing pretty darn well.  Crayfish, worms, stoneflies, pmd nymphs, caddis pupa are all fooling trout, but I haven’t really ventured to far away from the worm and crayfish.  Bigger hooks, bigger tippet……more trout to the net.  Simple shit.   Things are cranking up here in Craig tonight with the F3T coming to town.  Never having witnessed the Fly Fishing Film Tour, this should be interesting.

Bill C. & brown trout....worms...bobbers...

Tony V and I have a day off and are headed for the Canyon in just a few minutes. I can’t wait to stand up in the front of a drift boat while a professional fishing guide is behind the oars.  This doesn’t happen very often in late June on the Missouri.
