The Chicken Boys are back in town for their 8th year and are always good fun to spend the week with. Fishing below Holter Dam has been great to shitty to great again, all in the past few days.  We floated below Craig today and were treated to a red hot morning, horrible mid-day and ended a high note once the bugs showed back up…….I bet we had a 2 hour stint without a bump on the bobber after lunch time.  Caddis are on the cusp as are PMDs.  A few baetis are still trickling off each day as well.  Once things warm up, the Missouri will pop.  Flows are a bit low, running 4800 cfs, but honestly, it feels more like 3000.  Will it go up anymore?  Hard to say at this point, but there is still quite a bit of snow up in the high country in the Madison, Jefferson and Gallatin Ranges.  Will it get hot and blow out, or will the snow stick around for while?  I wish I knew…….
